I watched a TED Talk video called: Future Tech Will Give You the Benefits of City Life Anywhere, presented by Julio Gil.

There are predictions that by 2050, 66% of the population will live in cities and the United Nations, the World Health Organizations, and the World Economic Forum, are warning us, that if we don't plan for the increased density, current problems in our cities, can only get worse. As a result, urban planners and city developers are putting a lot of effort and creativity in designing our future, denser, bigger cities.

Julio Gil disagrees, he feels that urbanization is reaching the end of its cycle. Soon more people will be choosing to live and work in the countryside, thanks to rapid advances in augmented reality, autonomous delivery, off-the-grid energy and other technologies.

During his presentation, Julio Gil displayed different pictures and videos of what he was discussing. This not only allowed the audience to hear what was being sad, but to also see examples. Julio sometimes made what he was saying humorous and talked in a pace that was easy to follow. I was really engaged in Julio Gil's presentation. His presentation has also given me a better out look on country living in the future.
